  1. Why should voters elect you over your opponent?

I have the experience and proven record of successfully advocating for my constituents / taxpayers and community. i.e. maintaining a balanced budget / quality mandated services.  Create an economic climate necessary to keep / attract jobs in Macomb.  Continue to bring infrastructure dollars to northern Macomb County.

  1. Are there any political/social/cultural issues that you would raise for the county board to consider? If so, what and why?

Mental Health and violence is a factors in violent crimes.  The county plans to construct a diversion center at the jail to access persons arrested and divert those with mental health issues from the jail to a mental health facility, which maybe at our repurposed Juvenile justice center to create room for them.

  1. What, if any, areas of county spending would you seek to reduce, and/or what, if any, areas of county spending would you seek to increase? And why?
  • Continue to reduce debt payments and pay cash new capital projects to free money for other priorities.
  • Reduce overtime budgets.
  • Increase funding for law enforcement services to keep our communities safe.
  • Increase funding to clean up our lakes and river through greater investments in underground infrastructure.
