Question 1

Yes, I support the 3 PM meeting schedule, it’s taxpayer friendly, not having to pay staff come in evenings. We have the technology in place so the public doesn’t have to drive to Mt. Clemens find out what their government is doing or speak to us. Our meetings are podcast, recorded, shared with local cable stations and posted on social media.

Commissioners are a valuable link advocating for taxpayers and their community, working to solve problems and improve the quality of life. They are responsible for a budget over $1 billion dollars and a pension fund close to $1.5 billion dollars, both are in excellent financial shape. The board chair is a full-time position contrasted with the part time Commissioners and Chairs in the other counties. The pay is fair for both.

Fund balance will be spent down. We’ve managed conservatively and built it up which is good for the taxpayers, paying cash rather than bonding for infrastructure needs.

I have demonstrated through my years of experience to successfully advocate on behalf of my constituent’s as well as community, to improve the quality of life, directing millions of dollars for roads and drainage improvements in northern County and best prepared to continue to represent Northern Macomb County.
